In December 2023 ebikes arrived to the Bluebikes system to better serve residents in the greater Boston area with quicker trips for more people. We know that ebikes are popular among bikeshare users across the US and internationally and we're excited to see the same enthusiasm for them in the Bluebikes system.
Despite making up only 20% of the total Bluebikes fleet they accounted for 30% of all trips since we began rolling them out.
We're looking forward to seeing more and more trips on ebikes in the spring and summer months!
