In honor of Pride Month, Bluebikes’ sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is rolling out 100 rainbow-themed Proud bikes across the Bluebikes system to show their support of the Boston Area’s LGBTQIA+ community.

Blue Cross Proud Bikes Launch
In celebration of Pride Month this June, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is showing its support of the LGBTQIA+ community by rolling out 100 Blue Cross Proud bikes. These rainbow-themed Bluebikes will be integrated across the Bluebikes system’s 13 municipalities.
Fundraising for Fenway Health
As part of the month-long Pride initiative, Blue Cross will donate $1 (up to $10,000) to Fenway Health for every ride taken on a Blue Cross Proud bike. Lyft, which operates Bluebikes under contract with the municipal owners, will contribute $1 per ride after the 10,000th ride. Fenway Health works to enhance the well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and beyond through access to the highest quality health care, education, research and advocacy.
This is the fourth year that Blue Cross is rolling out Pride-themed bikes to support Fenway Health, continuing their dedication to enhancing resources in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
