Additional Valet Services to ease your commute, system updates, and more.

Marathon Monday is almost here. This Monday April 15th, over 30,000 runners will take to the streets to run in the historic Boston Marathon. Bluebikes is available 24/7 and will be offering additional services to help you get around Metro Boston.

Marathon Monday Valets

On Marathon Monday, we’ll be hosting two valet services near the race. The valets will be active from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on race day, so you can count on having a bike to get to work, or head to cheer on marathon runners.

  • Beacon Street at Massachusetts Ave

  • Back Bay T Stop - Dartmouth St at Stuart St (just south of the finish line)

Pop-up Marathon Party

In addition to valet services, we’ll be hosting a pop-up Marathon Party at the Beacon Street at Mass Ave station. Stop by and pick up free swag and goodies from local vendors, and celebrate the Boston Marathon and One Boston Day with the Bluebikes team.

  • Where: Beacon Street at Mass Ave Station
  • When: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

There will be a Valet Service at the pop-up party, so you'll have a guaranteed place to dock your bike.

Boston Marathon Station Updates

The following Bluebikes stations are located near the race route and will be open for riding on Marathon Monday. Check the Bluebikes app or System Map for the most up-to-date status of any Bluebikes station*:

  • Park Dr at Buswell St (Boston)

  • Mugar Way at Beacon St (Boston)

  • Tremont St at E Berkeley St (Boston)

  • Colleges of the Fenway - Fenway at Avenue Louis Pasteur (Boston)

  • JFK Crossing at Harvard St. / Thorndike St. (Boston)

  • Tappan St at Brookline Hills MBTA (Brookline)

  • Brookline Town Hall (Brookline)

  • Lower Cambridgeport at Magazine St / Riverside Rd (Cambridge)

  • MIT at Mass Ave / Amherst St (Cambridge)

*Due to road closures and increased demand from marathon crowds, the status of certain Bluebikes station on or near the marathon route may be subject to change

Please note: the following stations will be relocated, temporarily closed, or removed completely due to their close proximity to the marathon route. Be sure to avoid these stations and plan your trip accordingly:

  • Boylston St at Arlington (Temporarily Closed)

  • Boylston St at Exeter St (Temporarily Removed)

  • Copley Square (moving to Clarendon Street)

  • Coolidge Corner (Temporarily Closed)

  • Beacon St at Tappan St (Temporarily Removed)

  • St. Mary’s St (Temporarily Closed)
