Thanks to Bluebikes title sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, riders can practice self-care and prioritize their mental health with complimentary Adventure Passes all day.
In recognition of International Self-Care Day on Sunday, July 24, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is highlighting the importance of prioritizing overall wellbeing with its “Self-Care Cycle” initiative.
Metro Boston residents and visitors can take advantage of free Adventure Passes (unlimited two-hour trips in a 24-hour period) across the Bluebikes system all day by downloading and opening the Bluebikes
App on a mobile device and entering the code BLUESELFCARE
Bicycling is an ideal form of self-care, that enables people to be outdoors and engage in physical activity on their own time and at their own pace. Self-care activities have been proven to benefit mental health by reducing stress. In fact, around two-thirds of respondents to a recent survey say they experienced increased productivity, happiness and self-confidence by focusing on self care, so Blue Cross is encouraging individuals to get outside and experience the full benefits.
As part of “Self-Care Cycle,” Blue Cross is inviting riders to post a “Self-Care Selfie” and tag Bluebikes on social media (Twitter and Instagram) by July 31 to receive one free month-long Bluebikes membership, sponsored by BCBSMA. Already a member? Give it to a friend or family member!
