What Bluebikes is doing
Closely monitoring the situation and taking action. We're following updates on COVID-19, including guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health officials. We'll continue to take actions necessary to help protect the community.
Helping with prevention. High contact surfaces on bikes (such as handlebars and seatposts) will be disinfected each time they arrive in our depot. High contact surfaces on vans used to transport vehicles (such as steering wheels, seatbelts, center console, and door handles) will also be disinfected at the start of each shift. The 10 busiest stations in our system are being disinfected on a daily basis. In addition, our associates are wearing gloves when handling bikes, and we are recommending that they follow CDC guidance to wear a cloth face covering. We're helping procure face coverings for associates where we can.
Offering Flexibility. Bluebikes staff members who are sick are staying home from work. Our workforce has robust sick time policy in order to protect public health.
