Spring is here. Warmer temperatures and the end to winter is in sight. Even better? Some of your favorite Bluebikes stations will be returning to the streets of Metro Boston. Starting Friday, March 22nd, stations will be redeployed from hibernation.
Warmer temperatures are returning to Metro Boston. That means additional Bluebikes Valet Services are returning as well. Read more about the Valet Services that are making a comeback.
Due to a forecast of inclement weather, Bluebikes will temporarily close at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, January 19th, in consideration of the safety of our riders and staff. Following the storm, Bluebikes field staff will be working to clear stations, after which stations in Brookline, Boston, Cambridge and Somerville will reopen.
The Inman Square at Vellucci Plaza / Hampshire St will be relocation to a parking lot around the corner.
Two Bluebikes stations have been removed due to construction: Landmark Center, Faneuil St at Market St.

The Hubway system was temporarily shut down at 3 PM on Sunday. Regular system operations will resume at 8 PM after Hubway field staff has cleared snow from all station docks and bikes. This means that Cambridge stations, which operate year-round, will again be available for use. Stations in Boston, Brookline, and Somerville are expected to reopen later in the season.

Since approximately 8am on Tuesday, December 13th, six stations have been experiencing technical issues which cause them to be out of service. Station techs are expecting fixes to be implemented by the rush hour evening commute.
The 2016-2017 winter season will be the most expansive winter operations Hubway has ever had, which means more stations and bikes will be available than any winter before. Over 145 stations will remain in operation through at least December 31, with all the stations in Cambridge continuing to operate year-round.

Hubway's newest station, Central Square, is scheduled to deploy with 19 docks in East Boston on Tuesday, November 15th (subject to change).
On Wednesday, November 9th, the station located at Ryan Playground on Dorchester Avenue in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston has been removed for the remainder of the 2016 riding season. The station was removed two and half weeks earlier than originally scheduled in order to accommodate a City of Boston public installation.

Hubway’s 163rd station, Washington St at Melnea Cass Blvd, deployed earlier today. This is a 15-dock station located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Washington and Melnea Cass, adjacent to the Tropical Foods / El Platanero market, in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston.
As one of the new stations in the Hubway system, this location also has key-dispensing capabilities for new members.
Hubway’s 164th and newest station, Upham’s Corner MBTA, deployed earlier today.
The station plates/docks have left our warehouse via flatbed truck, and are on their way for redeployment. To accommodate the new protected bike lane striping, the station will be located a few feet away from its prior location. The station is expected to be installed and live later this morning.
