Celebrate Bike to Work Day this Friday, May 18th with a free ride!
This Friday May 18 is Bike to Work Day, and to celebrate, we’re partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to give everyone a chance to try Blue Bikes for free. To participate, just open the Blue Bikes app and select “Free Explorer Pass” for free rides for the next 24 hours. Already a member? Why not invite a friend to try out Blue Bikes. Just encourage them to download the app and select the “Free Explorer Pass”. And if you'd prefer to purchase your pass at the kiosk, no problem. Just click here to fill out a short form and we will email you everything you need.
Also on Friday, we’ll be celebrating at Boston’s National Bike to Work Day Festival at Boston’s City Hall Plaza—Blue Bikes staff will be stationed there starting at 7 a.m. with lots of free swag, including Blue Bikes t-shirts and sunglasses. Please feel free to stop by to ask questions, sign up to become a member and of course pick up your free, brand new Blue Bikes t-shirt.
Halfway through the month, May has already been the best Bike Month yet, with 75,000 rides already taken and riders appreciating the new Blue Bikes features, including gradual shifting, a wider range of seat heights and an integrated bell. If you haven’t had a chance to try the new bikes yet, Bike Month—and Bike to Work day—are a great time to try.
