Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Opened in 1903 by art collector and philanthropist Isabella Stewart Gardner, the museum holds several collections of American, European, and Asian art all housed in a Venetian-inspired palace.

A new wing built in 2004 offers space for concerts, special exhibitions, and additional programs. The Gardner Museum is located in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood, close to the Emerald Necklace.
