The current home of the USS Constitution, the Charlestown Navy Yard was one of the oldest shipbuilding facilities for the US Navy, operating from 1801 to 1974.
The Yard is at the northern end of the Freedom Trail and offers stunning views of the downtown Boston skyline. The Navy Yard can be accessed via the recently completed Connect Historic Boston bike path.
